Lime Putty Products

Lime putty is quicklime that is mixed with water through a traditional, labor-intensive process called slaking. Our lime putty is slaked onsite and aged to ensure a smooth, fine consistency. There is no water to add and no mixing necessary. Our preblended products are all-natural and entirely breathable.

Heritage Preblended Straight Lime Putty Mortar (Type L)
Recommended specifically for masonry buildings constructed before 1872 as well as applications where a very flexible, permeable cement-free mortar is desired. Preblended with sand and ready to use.

Heritage Preblended Lime Putty Mortar with Cement Pouch (Type O)
Recommended specifically for masonry buildings constructed between 1872 and 1931. Our lime putty mortar is packaged with a cement pouch that is added at the jobsite. Preblended and ready to use--just add the cement pouch at the site.

Heritage Preblended Lime Putty Stucco/Plaster
This preblended restoration formula is available in a straight lime formulation for buildings constructed before 1872, or you may purchase it with a premeasured cement pouch that is added at the jobsite to create a mix that is representative of finishes originally installed between 1872-1931.

Heritage Natural Hydraulic Lime Stucco/Plaster
This preblended hydraulic lime stucco is recommended for stucco restorations on historic structures that are exposed to damp and/or extreme conditions. Also recommended for sustainable design projects and strawbale construction.

Old-World European Limewash
Unlike most commercially available limewashes, we produce our Old-World European Limewash with aged lime putty that we slake fresh from low-fired high calcium quicklime. We then hand screen and sieve it to ensure that particles are extremely fine and can absorb into even the finest surfaces.

Slaked Lime Putty
Our slaked lime putty is aged to ensure an extremely smooth, fine consistency. Ideal for fresco convervation and restoration work.

Heritage Hydraulic Lime 3.5 Mortar
Breathable and more flexible than portland cement mortars, hydraulic lime mortar is often recommended for extreme or damp conditions.

Heritage Cement/Lime Mortar (Type O)
Our Heritage Cement/Lime Mortar is a dry, preblended formula that is available in either bags or buckets.

Bagged Dry Ingredients

Our Natural Hydraulic Lime 3.5 is moderately hydraulic, which enables it to cure properly in persistently damp conditions. It is more resistant to exposure and extreme weather than straight lime mortar, but it is still breathable and more flexible than modern cements.

Custom Blended Materials

We will blend a custom formulation of either mortar or stucco using the results of our laboratory testing, or we can custom color a wide range of our standard products to match the existing material on your jobsite.

Heritage Repair Mortar
The Heritage Repair Mortar product line is all-natural, breathable, and fast-curing. We offer a wide range of formulas for stone, brick, and terra-cotta. Ideal for patching, carving, and monument restoration.

DHL Injection Mortar
Dispersed Hydrated Lime, imported from Germany, is a proprietary injection mortar that is used to repair fine cracks in masonry. The material is flexible and breathable, making it suitable for stone repair, brick repair, and conservation work on sculptures and monuments.
